The Volunteer Translators of the Ukrainian Association of Sinologists conducted informational work in cooperation with the State information agency “Ukrinform” during the period of the war.

Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of Ukrinform, commented on his Facebook page the urgency of translation the official Ukrainian news into Chinese: “China also should know the truth about this war! Obviously, it will be unusual for someone to see Chinese characters on the Ukrainian page of “Ukrinform”.  But it is necessary to do. Since there is no separate Chinese version on the agency’s website, volunteers of the Ukrainian Association of Sinologists along with “Ukrinform” decided to publish the truth about the russian’s war against Ukraine for Chinese citizens on the main page of the website, in a separate section. For this purpose, a large group of volunteer translators will prepare the truthful information about russian war crimes, about the number of Russian losses in the war with Ukraine, and about the formation of a global anti-putin coalition. In short, about everything that the russian federation suppresses or falsifies…”.
