• The study, comparison and research of modern European and Asia Pacific languages (co-integrating cognitive structures and cross-cultural markers)
• The spiritual culture of contemporary Sino-Tibetan ethnic groups
• Humanitarian development of man in the 21st century based on the background of interpenetration and synthesis of Western and Oriental cultures
• Interdisciplinary research of general scientific and culturological character

Main research activity directions:

• Development of international educational programs for general and specialized sinological preparation in Ukraine, CIS, European and North American countries and states
• Formulation of basic principles for cultivating mutually beneficial and effective cooperation with China as a reliable partner in the 21st century
• Organization of scientific, practical, analytical and research activity of the modern-day sinologist including but not limited to his reputation, professional competence, expert credo, civil position, public association as well as his active role in the creation of a positive image of main and key actors on the basis of international relations
